Kilkenny Tourist Hostel
Kilkenny Tourist Hostel is located right in the centre of Kilkenny, in a lovely 300-year-old Georgian townhouse in the best preserved medieval city in Ireland. Our Parliament street neighbourhood has great traditional pubs, lovely cafes, a theatre and friendly locals. The Hostel is on Kilkenny's medieval mile and is less than 10 minutes walk to Kilkenny Castle and a few steps from St Canice's Cathedral and Round Tower. The Medieval Mile Museum and Butler Gallery are also close by.
Facilities include a great self catering kitchen and dining room where guests can cook and enjoy free tea and coffee. The cosy sitting room with an open turf fire is a great place to relax. There's also free WiFi, free lockers, free city maps, and a laundry service. Choose between Private Double, Twin, Triple and Quad Rooms, and small or large Dorm rooms all with shared bathroom facilities.
The notice boards, custom designed city mural, and chalk boards provide guests with lots of information about Kilkenny so they can enjoy a unique local experience. Staff have insider tips on the best places to eat, traditional Irish music sessions, movie nights, tours and all the hidden gems to enjoy in the city and surrounds. Plus every day the best events of the night are chalked up on the blackboard at Reception.

Please note we do not accommodate hen/stag groups. All other groups are required to pay a Security Deposit in cash on arrival. This will be refunded on the morning of departure providing all house rules are adhered to. By making a reservation you are agreeing to these terms. There’s a lot of history to be explored in a city that was founded in the 6th Century!
