What can you do here?

While you're here you can check out the 12th century Kilkenny Castle with its exquisitely restored interior and ramble around the gorgeous Castle park. You can also climb the 9th century round tower at St Canices cathedral for amazing views across the city. If its the summer time Smithwicks Brewery will give you the rundown on its proud brewing tradition and a free pint or two to taste. If its the winter then you can always have a pint in a lovely old pub and chat to the locals.
